Question: Did Marie Antoinette Have Any Children besides the four that are officially recognized?
I know this question sounds dumb, and I'm basically 100% sure she didn't, but my friend is convinced he's descended from her via a secret child that was given up for adoption during the Reign of Terror. I've tried to tell him its bogus...maybe some other opinions will help?
Answer: Before she had children, she adopted a little boy from a poor family named Jacques. She called him Armand. He later joined the French Revolution and was killed.
She also adopted a daughter of servants, Ernestine, as well as three orphaned girls. During the Revolution, Ernestine was taken out of the country, and the orphan girls joined family in the country.
