Answer: can only answer a couple of small parts of this. They did have kids, Louis and Marie were extremely young when married. Many believe it was normal teen confusion that led to long delay in consummation. The problem was the obvious extravagance of the pair while the people starved. The Bastille was attacked by the mob because it was where political opponents of the monarchy were held. I'm not even certain that it was actually torn down as such. You sure one of the most bloody events in Euro history appropriate for storybook? The guillotine is not a happy ending
