Question: Where can I find a Marie Antoinette dress?
I have to do a project for school & dress up like her. The thing is, it's at the end of this month and we have to wear it all day long. I need something not too expensive that isn't to lavish. And that can be here by the end of the month. Thanks:]

Marie Antoinette Costumes For Theater

Question: Costume help please? Marie-Antoinette?
For my theater class, I need to play Marie Antoinette. Thing is; I need a costume!! I want it to be realistic, but not cost me 100$ per piece. So, pretty much, anyone could help me find a good but cheaper costume, like: • Dress
• Corset
• Wig if possible
And if you know a good makeup and hair tutorial it would be great!
Answer: How much time do you have before you need the costume?
Like another commenter, I first recommend asking the theater teacher if there are any costumes you could borrow from your green room to wear!
If you have some time, or are crafty, you could try this tutorial that involves altering a poofy prom dress:

If you're on a time crunch or don't want to do much altering, you may want to consider something that is easier. If you have access to any prom style dresses with full skirts, one option could be layering a short Marie Antoinette Halloween Costume over the longer dress. It wouldn't be perfect, but certainly an option! You should be able to find a short Marie Antoinette Costume online for $30-50 or so, although I would make sure to check shipping times if you do decide to go with this option.
As for the corset, you probably won't find any realistic ones for cheap! But you should be able to find a find a cheap corset from a fashion retailer and dress it up with bows and ribbon to wear with your costume.
For makeup:

This is a nice tutorial for makeup, although you naturally don't have to use the same exact brands as the tutorial. Since you are the queen, apply lots of rouge! The higher the status at court, the more rouge you wore as a symbol of your importance. Marie Antoinette's brother once teased her about the rouge all the ladies at court wore.
For hair:
Here is a hair tutorial on Youtube. Marie Antoinette preferred using her real hair, so this may be the more realistic option than a wig!
I suggest adding flowers, fake jewels, or other trinkets to the pouf once it's finished. One of the favored ways to decorate ladies hair when it was this high was to adorn it with all sorts of decorations.
