Question: did marie antoinette actually say "Let them eat cake"?

Answer: No she didn't, answer is in source.
The phrase is attributed to French philosopher Rousseau in
" Confessions ". Rousseau claimed a " great princess " told the peasants to eat cake/brioche when she heard they had no bread, but Rousseau wrote that 1766, when Marie Antionette was only 10 years old.
