Question: Who was more interesting: Louis XVI or Marie Antoinette?

I have to write a paper for Western Humanities relating an event of the French Revolution to John Locke, an Enlightenment philosopher. I'm between the execution of either Louis XVI or Marie Antoinette...and I need your help! I can't decide who I should write about. Who should I write about and why?

Answer: I would go with Louie. Marie was a spoiled Austrian princess.But Louie while not a good king.Was interesting because he was not King material.He was short ,chubby ,sexual problems,nervous about becoming king.And while not a good king or politician he hated the British and without him and his foreign minister Charles Gravier the comte de Vergennes.And their relationship with Ben Franklin the patriots would have never beaten the British.Far more interesting than a spoiled princess of Habsburg Lorraine with big hair and fancy dresses.Good luck

Throughout Marie Antoinette's Life, she was claimed the Queen of Fashion before she earned her more prominent title as the Queen of Deficit or the Queen of Debt. Marie Antoinette often wore a wig as most ladies of the French Royal court do. Marie Antoinette had many different hair styles or wig styles. Some of her hair styles are plain but elegant while others are daring and new. Marie Antoinette hair styles set the trend for many aspects of the French fashion.
