Question: What do you think of the 2006 Movie Marie Antoinette?
How does this movie compare to Keira Knightley's "The Duchess" or "The Other Boleyn Girl". I love these two movies and now I want to see Marie Antoinette, but I'm afraid it won't measure up. What rating would you give it?
Answer: The other boleyn girl was pretty good. All of those movies depict the tragedies royalty had to go through during that time. Sad era, good stories. Marie Antoinette was terrible. Bad acting, the whole thing was about her having and inappropriate "relationship" with a guy who wasn't her husband. It hardly tells the correct life story. It is just gross. Don't watch it. OR you can, it just won't meet up.

Question: do church officials support the Execution of Marie Antoinette & louis xiv?
Answer: I seriously doubt it. An attempt was made to nationalize the church and many people, especially nuns, preferred execution to this. The Revolutionary Tribunal was quite ready to accommodate them in their preference.
Moreover, the revolutionaries also attempted to replace the traditional Catholic faith of the majority of the French with the cult of Reason. This, as might be expected, was better accepted in the cities than in the country, where many peasants kept their faith alive, even if only underground.
