marie antoinette role in french revolution
Question: Which on these individuals played the most interesting role in the French Revolution...?

Marie Antoinette, Georges Danton, Maximillian Robespierre, Jean Paul Marat and Louis XVI?

I need to evaluate their 'road to the guillotine' and I would like to know who you think has the most interesting story.
Should this be under homework help?

Answer: In my opinion, it would be the monarchs. Both Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette were very polarizing figures during the era. Louis had good intentions, and was honest, but was too young and inexperienced for the monarchy. He also lacked the charisma and skill to govern the Kingdom successfully.

Marie Antoinette was a foreigner, and also for the most part, oblivious to the desperate conditions many in France were experiencing. Although she was like Louis and and had good intentions for the French populace, she was also too young and naive for the huge task of governing France.

They made excellent scapegoats for the many problems France was experiencing, most of which could be traced to the costly wars and extravagent policies of Louis XVI's predecessors as well as France's involvement in the American Revolution, and the costly expenditure for the upkeep of the Royal Court at Versailles.

I think Louis and Marie came to symbolize the Ancien Régime, and their deaths symbolized the end of the Feudal System in France (and most of the rest of Europe in the coming decades), and the dawning of the modern democracy in Europe. This could be used to illustrate France's transition from the medieval feudal past, to a modern, free society.

.... Just my take.
