How is marie antoinette a villainess to history when she did nothing to be called a villainess while her husband diserves to be called a villain. Marie Antoinette did not rule the country she was too busy trying to be a good wife and mother to her children that later on would die of natural causes except for the ones that would die by the galotine of France.
Answer: She isn't. Marie was a young, perhaps immature and naive girl who became a bit overboard trying to find happiness in her marriage. And her spending is pretty average for a queen, she just lived in a time with constantly changing ideas. And we all should know she was the one who brought in the simpler fashions of the 1780's and adopted orphaned children when she was older.
