Question: How do i turn this into a thesis statement?

I need my thesis to show that my essay will be a cause and effect research essay. SOmething similar to this:

Based on her notorious lavish spendings and multiple scandals was Marie Antoinette really a nefarious villain or a naive victim of the French Revolution? How did the actions and the myths and rumors surrounding Marie Antoinette, The last Queen of France, lead to her demise?

I got my basic idea across but my thesis statement can be a question and it has to show the theme of cause and effect such as: This happened because she did this. Please help!

Answer: You have to pick to either argue that she was a villain or that she was a naive victim -- don't write the essay on both!

Ex:

Marie Antoinette was a notorious Queen of France during the 18th century. She was deeply hated by the French around the time of the French Revolution, and some blamed her lavish spending as a cause for the Revolution. Her actions careless actions and scandals surrounding her life eventually lead to her demise, but she was a younge, naive victim who should not have been burdened with the weight of a country, nor blamed for the French Revolution.

Note: Marie-Antoinette wasn't the last Queen of France, so you shouldn't say that.
