Marie Antoinette Costume Pattern

Question: How to make my costume smaller?
This Halloween, I'm dressing up as Marie Antoinette, using the Simplicity pattern 2832. Anyway, I have the whole dress sewn, but the bodice is too big. The shoulders are saggy, and the waist is loose. In short, the bodice makes me look like a boxy hunchback. Anyway, I was wondering if I could just take in the seams all over, if that makes any sense. I'm not the greatest at sewing, but do you know if that will work? Thanks in advance! =)
Sorry, I accidentally put this question in the wrong category!
Answer: Yup, go ahead with taking it in at the side seams and front princess seams.... watch the bust curvature, though.
In the back, you don't have princess seams (and you should!), so you can deepen the back darts and continue them up to the shoulders to pull in the shoulders a bit more.
